Second edition of the "petite relation" of this artistic journey to Greece, Constantinople and Egypt made in 1843-1844 by the painter Étienne Rey and the architects Antoine-Marie Chenavard and Jean-Michel Dalgabio. It is illustrated with a folded map and 12 out-of-text views on chine collé engraved after drawings by Chenavard and Rey. Autograph signed letter to the Lyon painter Augustin Thierriat (1789-1870), friend and colleague of Chenavard and Rey at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, with his bookplate.
