CHEST OF DRAWERS "A FLEURS", Louis XV, by J. DUBOIS (Jacques Dubois, maitre 1742), guild stamp, the bronzes with "c couronné" Paris circa 1745. Tulipwood, rosewood and precious woods in veneer and finely inlaid on all sides in "bois de bout" with flowers, leaves and frieze. The shaped carcase with salient front angles, the centrally bombé front with 2 sans traverse drawers and exceptionally rich matte and polished gilt bronze mounts, applications and sabots. The veneer restored and replaced in parts. 131x60x90 cm. Provenance: Château de Vincy, West Switzerland. A perfect example of an important salon chest of drawers from the Louis XV period.
