China, Canton, 19th century Round dish decorated with enamels painted on copper depicting in the centre the "Seven Wise Men of the Bamboo Forest" (with a servant), gathered in a grove around a rock to drink, read and play music under the moon, a poem inscribed on the left, on the wing four lobed cartouches each containing a pair of birds, surrounded by foliage flowers on a cobalt blue background, the reverse and base entirely enamelled pale blue.
