Two iron-red and gold enamelled porcelain plates decorated in the centre with a figurative scene, an episode from the "Xixiang ji" ("History of the Western Pavilion") on one with the hero mounted on the wall of his lady's garden, and two ladies playing chess in a garden on the other, the relief-moulded wing and scalloped edge decorated with flowers in medallions in the shape of a pomegranate, foliage on the reverse.
