China, Qing dynasty, 19th century A pair of ormolu and cloisonné vases, the cylindrical neck and foot and the four main sides of the square faceted body decorated with various flowers on a turquoise background with a leiwen motif (respectively prunus, magnolia, peonies and chrysanthemums on the body), the faceted cut-outs and the upper and lower sides of the body all decorated with various geometric motifs, the ormolu handles with chimera heads. Mounted on openwork wooden bases. H. 31 cm
