China, Late Ming - Early Qing period, Gilt bronze group representing Avalokiteshvara seated in meditation on a lotiform base. The right hand holding the stem of a willow sprig symbolising compassion, the left hand holding the ganlu vase. The face is surmounted by a tiara adorned at its centre with the reminiscence of Amitabha. The ears are adorned with jewels. Height: 49 cm. Expert : Cabinet Ansas-Papillon-de Léry, Paris.
