CHINA, late 19th/early 20th century A Nanking porcelain punch bowl with cracked glaze and polychrome enamelled decoration of a continuous battle scene on the outside and inside, surrounding a round cartouche of flowers and birds at the bottom, an apocryphal Chenghua sigillary mark on the base, with its blackened wooden base carved and openwork with flowers. Diam. 34 cm LDM Crack, wear and enamel skip, the wooden base restored.
