CHINA, LATE 19th - EARLY 20th CENTURY Two Piandao-type swords, with wooden scabbards lined with green-tinted shagreen, one with blade highlighted by two grooves on each side, the mounting parts in suite, in undecorated brass, the handle laced with beige; the other with smooth blade, the mounting parts in suite, decorated in slight relief with stylised clouds evoking ruyi heads, the handle laced with brown. Blade length: 68.5 cm - 63.5 cm; total length: 92 cm - 88 cm. (Blades oxidised, scabbards damaged, end piece missing from the scabbard of the second) Expert : Cabinet Ansas, Papillon et de Léry.
