CHINA, LATE 19th CENTURY Set of two porcelains comprising the lower part of a cylindrical box with famille rose decoration of women and children on a terrace; a bowl with famille rose decoration of fortified cities and pavilions in a mountain landscape, one with banners bearing the inscription Jiujiangguan (Jiujiang Gate, port city on the Yangzijiang), an apocryphal Daoguang sigillary mark on the base. Box dimensions: H. 9.5 x D. 9.7 cm. Bowl dimensions: H. 5 x D. 11.7 cm. (Chips to the first) Expert : Cabinet Ansas, Papillon et de Léry.
