Two "Hué blue" porcelain flat-bottomed plates, one decorated with two deer and longevity mushrooms near a large pine tree with a TRÂN NGOC (precious jade) mark on the base, the second decorated with Lao Tsu on his mule accompanied by a disciple NGOAN NGOC on the base.
Diameters 16.2 and 17 cm.
Provenance: inherited from a senior officer stationed in Indochina in the early 1950s
