CHINA - Four soup plates decorated in famille rose with four medallions of dragons and phoenixes separated by the Xǐ 囍(double joy) character. Central medallion of the Shu 壽 (long life) character surrounded by ruyi motif in iron red, the whole on a yellow background decorated with colloquinte 葫芦Húlu (gourd) flowers and fruits. Border of the lip with the eight Buddhist objects. Outer border decorated with lotus flowers and plant stems in various colours. Three-character mark under the base of Tang ti jian 堂休逸 (Well-being Hall) Late Qing dynasty. Diam. 22.9 cm - H. 4.1 cm Condition: two plates glued back together
