CHINESE HAN DYNASTY CARVED PUDDINGSTONE DRAGON SCULPTURE Ca. 202 BC - AD 220. A puddingstone carved sculpture of a dragon. The lively figure is mid-motion roaring, with its head held back, mouth open and paws ready to leap. The sculpture is situated on a long rectangular plinth. Size: 410mm x 340mm; Weight: 19.49kg. Provenance: Property of a North London gentleman; Ex. Sir Roger Moss collection; Previously acquired on the UK/European art market in the 1980s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
