CHINESE TERRACOTTA BIRD - TL TESTED. Han Dynasty, Ca. 202 BC - AD 220. A standing terracotta bird. The figure, painted in red for the head and earth tone for the body, is standing still with its head held up and is supported by bronze legs. Size: 140mm x 145mm; Weight: 460g Provenance: From the private collection of a Somerset gentleman; previously in an old British collection, formed before 2000 on the UK /European art markets. This piece has been precisely dated using a thermoluminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot.
