CHINESE TERRACOTTA BIRD - TL TESTED.
Han Dynasty, Ca. 202 BC - AD 220. A standing terracotta bird. The figure, painted in red and green, is standing still with its head held up and is supported by bronze legs. Size: 140mm x 140mm; Weight: 625g Provenance: UK private collection of Asian Art; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong. This piece has been precisely dated using a thermoluminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot.
