CHINESE TERRACOTTA COURT LADY - TL TESTED
Tang Dynasty, Ca. AD 618 - 907.
A terracotta court lady, depicted standing upright, wearing a long red dress with a flowing black collar and green long undersleeve,with her hair arranged in a Wei Do knot. Her left hand is held in front of her chest, with the sleeves overflowing, while the left hand is held down.
Size: 505mm x 190mm; Weight: 4.15kg
Provenance: UK private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
This piece has been precisely dated using a thermoluminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot.
