CHINESE TERRACOTTA DANCING LADY - TL TESTED.
Han Dynasty, Ca. 202 BC - AD 220 A dancing lady dressed in long robes painted in orange. Her arms are held up in motion, with her legs in between steps. Further drapery detailed are carved and can be seen on the hems. Size: 585mm x 310mm; Weight: 8.8kg. Provenance: East Anglian private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong. This piece has been precisely dated using a thermoluminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla.
