CHINESE TERRACOTTA FEMALE MUSICIAN - TL TESTED Tang Dynasty, Ca. AD 618 - 907. A terracotta female musician standing upright with long flowing red robes, a short over jacket and high coiffed hair, with painted eyes and lips, holding a flute close to the mouth with both hands. Size: L:350mm / W:95mm ; 1.19kg Provenance: UK private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong. This piece has been precisely dated using a thermoluminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot.
