CHINESE TERRACOTTA GOOSE - TL TESTED.
Han Dynasty, Ca. 202 BC - AD 220. A terracotta goose standing still, with its head held high, looking upwards, supported on bronze legs. The details are accentuated by earth tone pigments, with feather patterns painted on the folded wings. Size: 220mm x 210mm; Weight: 920g Provenance: East Anglian private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong. This piece has been precisely dated using a thermoluminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
