CHINESE TERRACOTTA GOOSE - TL TESTED Han Dynasty, Ca. 202 BC - AD 220.
A terracotta goose. The goose is standing still with its head held high and is supported by bronze legs. It is detailed with earth tone pigments, with white feather patterns painted onto the folded wings.

Provenance: UK private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong.
This piece has been precisely dated using a thermoluminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot.
