CHINESE TERRACOTTA GOOSE - TL TESTED Han Dynasty, Ca. 202 BC - AD 220.
A terracotta goose. The goose appears to be standing still, with its head held high, looking upwards, supported on bronze legs. The details are accentuated by red and black pigments, with feather patterns painted on the folded wings.

Provenance: UK private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong.
This piece has been precisely dated using a thermoluminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot.
