CHINESE TERRACOTTA KNEELING COURT LADY - TL TESTED.
Han Dynasty, Ca. 202 BC - AD 220. A delicately modelled court attendant kneeling with the hands placed before the body, the serene face framed by neatly coiffed hair drawn into a topknot. She wears long flowing robes with wide sleeves, painted in shades of cream and red. Size: 600mm x 310mm; Weight: 13.1kg Provenance: UK private collection of Asian Art; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong This piece has been precisely dated using a thermoluminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
