Mug Carved wood (burr). Straight circular body, recessed lid with ball-shaped poucier, in stained wood. The scalloped handle is decorated with inlaid black lozenges. A low moulded crossbar and three small ball feet complete the ensemble. Commemorative coins from the reigns of various kings and a queen of Sweden are set on the lid and the lower crosspiece houses a set of coins bearing effigies of ancient gods, dated between 1715 and 1718. A medal under the handle probably indicates the cabinet-maker: "I.DALER S.M". Two old labels under the base, one of which is clearly legible: "H.BUKOWSKI (...) STOCKHOLM" (antique dealer). Scandinavia, 18th century Total height: 23.5 cm - Body diameter: 15.5 cm Condition: cracks, missing parts and accidents (including pitting)
