Expressive depiction in sometimes intensely bright colours, whose formal language, style and colouring are influenced by Cubism, Fauvism and Expressionism of Classical Modernism. Nudes are central motifs in Peschke's oeuvre, as for him they reflect not only sensuality but also vitality, eroticism and beauty. Peschke, who studied under Gerhard Gollwitzer at the Stuttgart Academy, first settled in Spain as a freelance artist at the age of 35; he later lived in Merano and Bolzano, Bruckmühl and Flintsbach.
