Classical Modernism Lyonel Feininger Houses in Paris. 1964. woodcut on light grey Japan laid paper. 31 x 25.3 cm (37 x 31.5 cm). - Remnants of previous mounting in upper margin and with barely noticeable handling creases in places. Overall very good. Excellent, strong impression with clearly co-printed grain on verso and wide margins, one side with scoop margin. Prasse W 184 II a. cf. W 46 - Estate impression of the woodcut probably created around 1918. The depiction shows demolished houses in the Rue St. Jacques. Wood-cut on light grey Japanese laid paper. - Decent traces of former mounting in the top margin and occasionally with barely visible traces of handling. All in all very good. Superb, intense impression with clearly visible wood graining verso and with wide margins, one side with deckel edge. - Posthumous impression from the estate of this striking wood-cut, first executed probably around 1918. According to the artist the work depicts condemned houses in Rue St. Jacques, Paris. 700
