Wooden harpsichord painted on all sides (on the doors, flap, lid and sides) with mantling and stylised scrolls on a yellow and green marbled background. It opens through a flap with a large lid painted with a scene of fishermen and women discussing near a mill signed "C. Fromenty" (for Claude Fromenty). Fromenty" (for Claude Fromenty) and dated "1997" in the decoration. It stands on 6 tapered turned legs.
It has 2 superimposed two-register keyboards with boxwood and ebony treads in 5 octaves (with the addition of a note in the treble).
The soundboard is embellished with a round cut-out paper rosette showing an inner case of "Italian" construction with double bridge and double nut.
