Antique bronze baluster vase with brown patina resting on a pedestal, decorated with an antique frieze of draped vestals.
The handles are in the form of stylised chimeras.
It stands on a moulded cherry red marble base.
Foundry stamp: "F. BARBEDIENNE".
19th century work.
Height 48 cm.
Minor chips to the marble base.
The original marble vase, made by Clodion during his stay in Rome in 1766, is kept at the Art Institute of Chicago.
