CLOISONNÉ GOLD BUTTON - former Kofler-Truniger collection Probably Achaemenid, 6th–4th century BC (?). Gold and cloisonné technique. Round, slightly domed shape with pearl wire frame. Stylized star or flower pattern inlaid with carnelian, glass paste, and stones. Eyelet on the back. Ø 2.1 cm. Losses to the inlays. Provenance: - Collection of Ernst and Marthe Kofler-Truniger (1903–1990 & 1918–1999), Lucerne before 1964 (inv. no. K711H). - Swiss private collection, Lucerne, acquired from the above in ca. 1974. - By inheritance in the same Swiss family collection, Lucerne. Exhibited: Kunsthaus Zurich, E. and M.
