Complete series in handsome, uniform bindings of this important collection initiated by the French Alpine Club when it was founded in 1874, with the aim of facilitating and propagating knowledge of the mountains and developing mountaineering and skiing. This voluminous publication contains a large number of articles, accounts of climbs and other information, as well as a wealth of illustrations. The yearbook for 1874 was published in 1875, and the last one for 1903 was published in 1904. A complete copy of the 30 volumes of text, lacking only the map of the Gavarnie cirque by Schrader which was supplied in a roll as an appendix to the first volume of 1874 and which is still missing. The table of the first 15 years is enclosed. From the collection of Félix Viallet, who had them bound. The 1888 volume is heavily stained on all pages, otherwise very good condition. Perret, 1023
