A richly moulded and carved Norman oak chest, rectangular in shape; the front features a medallion depicting a woman in the classical style, framed by two griffins; the sides are panelled, and the uprights are fluted columns.

Signs of wear, minor losses and restoration work; the feet have been reinforced at the rear and the lower cornice has been repaired. The front has been altered at a later date to allow it to open horizontally.
