Cigarette box offered by the Marechal. Superb strong cardboard cigarette box, decorated with a francisque on a tricolour background, with a beautiful label inside, again bearing a francisque in relief and the words "Offert par le Marechal" ("Offered by the Marechal"). The edges of the lid are decorated with 7 stars. The box is complete with all the Francisco-stamped cigarettes from the period. These boxes were made for the Marechal's cabinet and left to his discretion so that the head of state could give them as gifts, particularly when travelling around the country. These boxes are official gifts, unlike the many other fancy models that may have been made for the trade. An enamelled metal francisque is attached to the box. Superb period cigarette box made of thick cardboard, decorated with a tricolor francisque motif on the lid and an embossed francisque with the inscription Gift from the Marshal inside. The lid is bordered with seven stars. Box complete, including original contents of cigarettes stamped with a francisque. These boxes were official diplomatic gifts, distributed by the Marshal's cabinet, especially during his travels. Also included is a vintage lighter with a metal-framed enamel francisque.
