BOX WITH FRAME
with a wooden core veneered with blackened wood and carved bone. It is veneered with 28 plates of carved bone in low relief of kings, queens, emperors and other unidentified subjects between two friezes of inlaid triangles. The moulded lid is also veneered with carved bone (11 plates) featuring cherubs, profiles in medallions and other plant motifs. The interior is made of crimson damask and braided fabric.
