Model 1884 artilleryman's kepi of the 52nd RA (Angoulême) in dark blue cloth, scarlet cordonnet, number in cut-out scarlet cloth, leather chinstrap, inner cap with reduced basane, leather headband (sewn back on), serial numbered. BE A handwritten label reads "képi having belonged to the military painter ROUFFET. Jules ROUFFET (1862-1931) was a military painter active at the end of the 19th century, illustrating in particular the historical album of the army and navy.
