Rare d'Épinal fireman's helmet or cap in blackened tinned iron consisting of a bomb, a welded upper cap, a riveted circular brim, brass headband decorated on the front with a pair of crossed grenade axes, Engraved "Ville d'Épinal" and "N°" in openwork lettering and numbering, inside, the rear of the bomb protrudes a few millimetres, pierced with small holes, it is intended to receive a leather or cloth helmet protector in the manner of German or Swiss helmets.
