Rare model 1893 kepi of the 11th colonial infantry regiment (Cochinchina) in dark blue cloth with scarlet piping and number cut out in original sewn cloth on the headband, visor with snap ring of the Ministry of the Navy model, leather chinstrap, brass anchor buttons, full black leather basane inner cap. Worn cords, missing cloth. ABE The 11th RIC was stationed in Cochinchina from its creation in 1869 until the independence of Vietnam in 1954. It took part in all operations in Tonkin from 1885 to 1900 and in the Boxer War.
