COLLECTION OF AMARNA VESSEL SHERDS. Amarna Period, Ca. 1353 - 1335 BC. A collection of polychrome pottery sherds from the necks and shoulders of large vessels, the neck fragments with thick everted rims and straight to slightly convex walls, the exterior decorated in red, blue and black on a buff ground with encircling bands framing a frieze of lotus petals; the shoulder fragments with bordered panels with lotus and papyrus umbels.
