COLLECTION OF BRONZE AGE/EARLY GREEK BRONZE AXE HEADS. Ca. end of 2nd Millennium BC. A collection of three bronze axe heads, including, from left to right: a compact piece with a short neck and a sub-triangular blade, the cylindrical socket set perpendicularly beneath; a long, straight-edged example with a square-cut cutting edge, the blade projecting from a tall socket meeting it at a right angle; and a bearded type with a deep, drooping lower outline, the tubular socket placed under the heel.
