COLLECTION OF EARLY GREEK / BRONZE AGE AXE HEADS Ca. 900 - 700 BC. A collection of three bronze axe heads. The upper example has a cylindrical socket with a slightly flaring collar and a flat, vertical blade. The middle axe head features a broad blade with an expanding cutting edge and a reinforced socket. The lower axe head has a socket with opposing side openings terminating in pronounced prongs; the blade flares gradually towards the cutting edge.
