COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN BRONZE AND STONE INLAID EYES.
Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC
A collection of four inlaid eyes forming two matched pairs, each with an elongated almond-shaped bronze frame enclosing a convex cream stone sclera and extended outer cosmetic lines. One pair is set with a central circular blue inlay, while the other has only an incised circular outline marking the iris.
Size: 55-60mm x 20-25mm; Weight: 45g.
Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired in Switzerland; formerly with W.R. , late 1980s to early 1990s.
