COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE AMULETS. Ptolemaic Period to Roman period, Ca. 30 - AD 200 A collection of turquoise and pale green glazed faience amulets of Egyptian Pantheon. The figures are represented standing frontally on an integral flat base, the arms held straight at the sides. A narrow back-pillar rises behind the body and joins the wig, which is pierced horizontally for suspension. The deities are Toth, Pataikos, Taweret, Isis with Horus and Wadjet. Size: 40-65mm x 15-20mm; Weight: 48.99g. Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired in Brussels, Belgium; initially from a Swiss private collection (1901–1981).
