COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE BEADS AND AMULETS - EX CHRISTIE'S.
New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, Amarna Period, Reign of Akhenaten, Ca. 1351 - 1334 BC
A collection of six faience beads and amulets, including, from left to right: a turquoise scarab with the base incised with the throne-name Neb-maat-re; a green grasshopper-shaped amulet inscribed with 'Amen (re), Lord of the Two Lands'; a pale green frog amulet, the underside with a pair of uraei and neb baskets; a blue frog amulet; a blue scarab with the base engraved with the cartouche of Neb-maat-re (Amenhotep III); and a rosette terminal from an ear stud in white faience with blue petals and a red centre.
