A collection of blue faience beads and amulets, including two flat rectangular beads each decorated with dark triangular motifs; a cartouche of Akhenaten - "within the Sunshade of the Fashioner of the Horizon of the Aten"; an oval scaraboid with incised hieroglyphs; a rectangular seal-plaquette; a cartouche-shaped plaque; and a small pendant. In later life the Pre-Raphaelite artist, Wallis, became a noted scholar and collector of antiquities; his publications included works on Egyptian, Classical, Medieval and Islamic art. Wallis travelled widely in the Mediterranean and Egypt, where he met the archaeologist Sir W. M. Flinders Petrie.
