COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE DEITIES AMULETS.
Ca. 1550 - 30 BC. A collection of five faience amulets including Thoth with an ibis head, Taweret as a pregnant hippopotamus, ram-headed Khnum and seated Isis shown with a tall headdress and baby Horus resting against her chest. The amulets are rendered in shades of pale blue-green faience. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
