COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE DEITIES AMULETS. Ca. 1550 - 30 BC. A collection of five faience amulets including three depictions of Anubis with a jackal head and upright ears, Thoth with an ibis head and lion-headed Sekhmet with a solar disc above her head. Each is standing on an integral flat plinth, supported by a pillar at the back, with a suspension loop either through the pillar or above the head. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
