New Kingdom to Late Period, Ca. 1550 - 332 BC A collection of 10 faience deity amulets, each in blue or turquoise glaze and moulded as a standing or squatting figure on an integral rectangular plinth, some with a perforation for suspension. The group includes the dwarf god Pataikos, the air god Shu, the hippopotamus goddess Taweret, the dwarf god Bes, and the feline goddess Bastet, among other protective figures. Size: 15-24mm x 7-10mm; Weight: 9.5g. Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Germany; formerly with Kurt Deppert collection, Munich, 1970s.
