COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE PENDANTS. New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A collection of 20 faience pendants in various shapes and colours, including blue, turquoise, green, and yellow, with some featuring red and white elements. The forms include among others, an eight-pointed star, a rosette, poppy seed capsules as well as representations of deities, and objects like annular beads. Several pieces have suspension loops for attachment or perforations for stringing. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
