COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN INLAID FAIENCE TILES. New Kingdom, 19th Dynasty, Ca. 1293 - 1070 BC. A group of fragments of inlaid faience tiles depicting geometric motifs with differents colours and shapes, most likely from Qantir, New Kingdom. Size: 55-95mm x 35-70mm; Weight: 270g. Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. James Ede, 2012; with Khawam brothers, Cairo, 1950s, thence European private collection. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
