COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN MOSAIC GLASS INLAYS. Ca. 332 BC - AD 200. A collection of eight mosaic glass inlays featuring floral and vegetal motifs in varied compositions. Some fragments depict stylised lotus petals in white, red, and yellow, arranged against dark backgrounds. Others incorporate linear and curved foliage elements in green and yellow, interspersed with small white or red blossoms. Some inlays display bundled plant forms with detailed stems and calyxes. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
