COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN STEATITE SCARABS. Ca. 1790 - 1069 BC. A group of four steatite scarabs, each carved with a rounded back and engraved underside with hieroglyphic inscriptions or geometric motifs. The scarabs display variations in body proportions and surface detailing, with one featuring elytra divisions and the other three rendered with smoother contours. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
