COLLECTION OF GREEK AND PHOENICIAN TERRACOTTA GODDESS FIGURINES
Ca. 600 - 200 BC.
A collection of four terracotta female figures. The one on the left depicts a standing draped figure with a long veil covering the head and shoulders. The second is a flat-backed figure with both hands raised to the chest and pronounced breasts. The third is a nude seated torso with well-defined modelling of the abdomen and chest. The last is a fragmentary head wearing a high stephane and the remains of a veil falling over the sides. Each is mounted on a modern stand.
