COLLECTION OF OTTOMAN STONE INSCRIBED INTAGLIOS.
Ca. AD 1500 - 1800.
A collection of five inscribed stone intaglios, including, from left to right: an oval carnelian with calligraphic script within a dotted border; a square intaglio with neatly divided inscription; a dark red carnelian of octagonal form with dense lines of script; a large oval intaglio in black stone engraved with cursive calligraphy; and a smaller oval carnelian densely ornamented with vegetal and epigraphic motifs.
